Worship Contest
October 2008

Sing to him a new song;
play skillfully, and shout for joy.
(Psalm 33:3)

Now you have the opportunity to 'sing to him a new song'. You may submit one song per contest or per category. There are two age categories and a family catagory, 17 and younger or 18 and older. Your original song needs to be about the works or character of God. It can be written to Him or about Him.

Help us remember and reflect deeply what Christ has done for us by writing and submitting your song. All the kid's songs will be posted at the web site and 12 of the adult songs will be chosen to post at the site, in April. The prize winners are those that receive the most votes. You may invite your friends to listen to and vote for a song. Only one vote per computer will show up, to keep the voting fair.

Guitar, Case, Tuner & 3 DVD's. This is a $197.00 value

Three first place winners will receive a Guitar, Case, Tuner and a set of the first three volumes of Jean Welles Worship Guitar Class(TM) DVD’s or the 4 DVD's a webcam and an hour webcam lesson with Jean.

Songs may be sung a cappella or with instrumental accompaniments. The song must be in English. Winning songs will stay posted at the site.

There is no 'best' song. God is pleased with every worshipping heart. He is the One who rewards us beyond what man can give. We are told to encourage each other in our faith and I pray that writing and sharing these songs will be a wonderful blessing to all who participate and listen.

The entry for is below. You enter one song per contest per individual. If you submit a song as a family you can also submit individual songs.

In the worship contest last year there were two families that submitted a song. The kids and parents helped with the verses and melody. I hope we get several more family songs this year.
